We’ve always thought that Google was a possibility for a MVNO.

And as rumours about their own phone strengthen we still think its a possibility. So we liked this piece about Clearwire – a company building a 4G network in the US – and who have Google as an investor. They also have retail partnerships with people like Best Buy – who already have a relationship with Google.

As we argued before, Google don’t need the usual relationship with an operator – and if they could promote android by being the first devices to use 4G…

Its all speculation, but given how seriously Google take mobile it is not hard to imagine them making such a move.
